Background: A new national consulting firm, QP3 ErgoSystems, LLC is developing a network of part-time contract ergonomists in North America to work on periodic client assessment visits (industrial, office, healthcare).
Job Responsibilities: Perform onsite assessments in office, industrial, processing and potentially healthcare-related operations. Customize and conduct office and industrial training courses based on client needs. Work with contracted clients to assess their needs and the best approach(es) to gaining buy-in of suggested improvements via addressing Quality, Productivity, Performance & Profitability considerations. Complete comprehensive site visit assessment reports in a timely manner. Work in regionalized manner as feasible to minimize travel and time away from home.
Qualifications:
Possess an ergonomics certification, or be actively pursuing certification via the CIE or CPE routes.
Have five to ten years of successful consulting experience with focus on engineered/designed improvements
Provide a current resume
Provide redacted examples of industrial, healthcare (if available/applicable) and office ergonomics assessment reports
Able to provide professional references, including sample video clips of presentation skills.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills including experience speaking in front of small and large groups.
Be available on a part-time, contracted basis
Ability to use the Microsoft Office suite of products including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc. to write reports (or give presentations) that are of high quality and effectively identify and provide clear direction to help clients address their needs.
Ability to help clients comply with Federal, State or Provincial rules and regulations as pertain to the science of Ergonomics
Ability to access and negotiate (while accompanied by a client representative to ensure physical safety) all necessary areas of client locations to perform site assessments, including ladders and stairs at manufacturing, chemical processing, distribution and other facilities as required.
Experienced in the use of quantitative, and qualitative ergonomic assessment tools and techniques
Possess basic data collection tools, including force gauge and light meter
Have access to and experience using a tablet computer with the capacity to load additional applications (for data collection)

Rehabilitation and Occupational Consultants (ROC) is seeking a certified Physical Therapist/Ergonomic Specialist who wishes to join our injury prevention ergonomic team. This position is primarily responsible for office ergonomic evaluations but there are other available opportunities. A treating physical therapist with ergonomic experience would be a plus.
This position will begin as part time and can have flexible hours. It has the opportunity to progress to a full time position. Our company (ROC) is an orthopedic physical therapy clinic based in Folsom with a growing injury prevention ergonomic consulting business. We primarily serve Sacramento County and the adjoining areas, although there is opportunity to travel up and down the state. Our ergonomic clients include a variety of office and industrial clients. We assist our clients with durable cost effective ergonomic solutions to minimize risk factors, provide effective accommodation, and train employees to effectively manage themselves ergonomically. The ideal candidate will:
Possess office ergonomics certification and be proficient in conducting ergonomic evaluations.
Be a hard worker, aggressive learner, enjoy people, and a team player.
Have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience and a high level of biomechanics knowledge, injury process, communication skills and computer skills.
Have a real understanding of the importance of empowering people to avoid injury through effective intervention and effective training.
Have the ability to proceed with individual initiative, work independently, and communicate professionally with employees and business clients.
Always demonstrates a code of high ethics, excellent organizational skills and careful attention to detail.
